Preparations
Activities::

We have seen how the Lord has used "retreating" in our own lives and the lives of others to provide needed refreshment and time for reflection and evaluation, as well as to strengthen relationships and to prepare hearts and minds for more effective and dynamic ministry and service.  We have also noticed that unless we are intentional about taking this time, "retreating" doesn't happen.

There is a real need for people, mainly adults, to slow down and get a fresh perspective on their lives, which often happens away from the common environment.  Opportunities to stroll a rarely-traveled trail in the forest, sit near a pond listening to a variety of birds while reflecting on the beauty of creation, or sing around a campfire abound at Kerith.  These activities have an affect on perspective, confidence, and priorities.  When adults, families, and teams are refreshed, they are better able to adjust to the demands of life and serving.
