The Lodge at Kerith::
We are so excited that construction on the Lodge is now complete! This has been a long process, which began in the Fall of 2003 when we petitioned the county to utilize our current property zoning to include permitting a lodge/retreat center. We were granted provisional use to accommodate up to 40 people overnight, and in the Spring of 2004 we began to work on plans. We began the physical construction of the Lodge in the Summer of 2008 and celebrated a Grand Opening in August of 2009. Although the structure is complete and has furnishings, we will continue to work on the fine details so that we can offer more opportunities for comfort and relaxation.

“You’re my place of quiet retreat…”
The deep, log-lined wrap-around porch that encompasses the
Great Room at the Lodge welcomes and invites guests to slow down and
relax. The Great Room has the feel of a
coffee house with leather-furnished conversation clusters and café-style tables
and chairs for dining. Inside the
commercial kitchen, a 6-burner Wolf range with grill and the fittings of a
comfortable kitchen bring ease to food preparation, serving, and cleaning. The sleeping rooms are warmly decorated,
sleeping up to 6 or 8 people, with a full bath and individual heating/air
conditioning units in each room.
The Retreat Lodge and the grounds were
designed to provide many smaller retreating and conversation areas to
accommodate reflection and rest in both privacy and community: Surrounding the Great Room is 1500
square-feet of wrap-around porch with a number of seating areas; an intimate
enclosed porch with a table and chairs waits just outside the main-level
sleeping rooms; the large outdoor patio
in front of the Lodge, partly covered with a tin roof to amplify the sound of
rain in the spring, is an inviting location to appreciate the morning sunrise or to sit, shaded on a summer evening
and enjoy the coastal breezes that our little valley ushers in; behind the
Lodge, the Meeting Barn and fire pit sit on a 1-acre playing field providing a
covered gathering patio with picnic tables as well as a small children's play
area; rural roads and walking trails offer innumerable places for rest,
reflection, and conversation.
